Still Not Feeling Up to Par

Hey there...this is Samba's "Mummy". He is still not feeling well enough to post or to eat today. His fever returned in the late evening tonight, but seems to be going down again. Luckily, no where near as high as yesterday morning! I took him to the vet this afternoon and we hashed out all the possibilities. Got a urinalysis and blood work done as well as 1 liter of Sub-q fluids. He sure looked funny when he came out! It's a good thing he has all that skin to store all that water! He did gobble down 4 cookies at the vet's. Normally he won't touch these, but I guess he felt well enough at that point to eat and was hungry! He had some jerky treats too at home, but nothing close to real food. He even had a hard time eating his favorite, yogurt. Still very slow movement and sleeping lots. They did find something that was going on in one of his forehead wrinkles so that might be the cause. He's on Clavamox for a week so that should clear up anything he might have. Anyhow, keep him in your thoughts! He will be back soon as he feels better!

Better Mummy, but still yucky.

No Mummy I'm gonna bury it for later.

It's OK honey, lemme take it. You can have it later.

Wanna go for a walk instead?

Yeah. Mummy I wanna walk slow.

Ok baby, we'll walk slow.

Omg! Omg! Omg!

Wow is today my birthday or something? Mummy got up, ate, fed me...everything normal right? Then we went for a WALK! When we got home, Mummy left and I took a nap upstairs. When Mummy got home, we went for ANOTHER walk! This time we went to my neighbor, Jay's, house! I wanted to play with Jay and then Mummy disappeared again, but she came back with another leash! I was so happy happy happy! Jay pulled Mummy a lot and he was really excited too. We got to the park and Mummy tied us up, took my backpack off of me and put it on Jay! AHHHHH!!!! So nice! Little Jay got scared of the backpack, but I told him it was ok and we walked and walked and walked! When we got home Mummy let us wrestle! I am pooped out now...I think I'll sleep to celebrate :) Zzzz!!!

Backpacking

My nose is almost all healed up! Just a little pink still where the pigment hasn't come back yet. Sorry I haven't posted for awhile...it's been really cold here in Pittsburgh! We haven't really been out much. I did get cabin fever! Mummy bought me new toys and a backpack! We have gone for two walks with it already and it sure makes me TIRED! I get fed after my walks and I am so pooped out I just sleep all day!

We decided to cancel Shar Pei meet ups until the warmer spring days. This winter was just too cold! So until then....I'm going back to bed :)
